CONCORDE FILMVERLEIH, founded in 1980, has brought more than 400 films to the German cinemas. The annual program consists of approximately 10-15 titles and offers a diverse mix of first class arthouse cinema, German movies and commercial Hollywood productions.

Some of the most successful CONCORDE arthouse films, which are released under the CONCORDE Classic label, are „The Queen, „Scoop“, „Ladies in Lavender“, „The Girl With A Pearl Earring“, „Mulholland Drive“, „Fargo“, „Rosenstrasse“, „The Shipping News“, „A Room With A View“ and „Delicatessen“. Among the Hollywood highlights in the program are „The Brothers Grimm“, „Lara Croft: Tomb Raider – The Cradle Of Life“, „Silent Hill“, „12 Monkeys“ and „The Italian Job“, just to name a few. More than 110 of the films distributed by CONCORDE were seen in competition at international A-festivals, such as the Berlinale, the Cannes Film Festival, and the Venice Film Festival and were honored with a total of more than 120 awards. Directors like Claude Chabrol, David Lynch, Lars von Trier, François Truffaut, Joel & Ethan Coen, Pedro Almodóvar, Michael Haneke, Krysztof Kieslowski, François Ozon, Patrice Chéreau, Lasse Hallström, Woody Allen, Bernardo Bertolucci and Margarethe von Trotta are even represented with more than one film in the CONCORDE program.

The Gilde-Film Prize, which is awarded yearly since 1977 by the Consortium Cinema-Gilde of German Arthouse Theaters, was given a total of 11 times to a CONCORDE film: six times in silver, five times in gold.

The CONCORDE program consists mainly of European films, amounting to 54% of the entire program, 20% of which are European co-productions.
